as someone who often has to take people’s e-mail addresses over the phone this list is horrifying! and hilarious.

another busy weekend
I went to Toronto this weekend to catch two free shows at the Harbourfront Centre. Ladytron was on Friday night, and Crystal Castles on Saturday. By sheer luck Bahzad and I ran into someone we knew on the streetcar and we were able to sit with him and his friends in the third row! Sweet.

For the most part we had a great view, but of course some random chick had to stand on her seat because apparently she was having a hard time seeing Ladytron from the 1st row. What a jerk.
I was so glad I got to see Ladytron, finally, and even happier that it was a free show. I really enjoyed it but it was a bit mellower than I had anticipated. I expect at least Playgirl to be a little more up-tempo, but to be honest the only song performed with any energy was Destroy Everything You Touch, which they closed their set with.
Saturday was spent lounging by the pool at Kim’s house, which was perfect. The weather was amazing but we never made it into the pool past our belly buttons. Yeah, we’re a bunch of babies.
Saturday night we headed back to Harboufront to catch Crystal Castles. It was crazy packed and unfortunately this time didnt have any seats saved for us. This time literally everyone was standing on their seats, and not surprisingly, the energy was a lot crazier compared to Ladytron’s show. Also a lot more fedoras and girls with short hair cuts. Oh you crazy hipsters.
This is literally the only picture I got of Crystal Castles:
